Day 1 of F&P guide

Hi God, as the church is embarking on F&P for e x'mas season through the prayer of Jabez. Reveal to me on what i should fast on though i gg overseas for a week. As i was reading the day 1 guide, it helps me to understand more about the bible character, Jabez.


Reflection:
Q1: I see pple who are leading me spiritually as honourable pple in my life (includes my shepherd, LGL, pastors & other leaders etc.)

Q2: some qualites i can pick up
-humility (humble ourselves)
-pray
-seek God
-repentance (turn from wicked ways)


Q3: Qualities to grow:
-be humble (learn from other ppl, sensitive to God's voice)
-repentance life (repent daily n as often when H.S prompts me)
-prayer life ("pray like never before" even while doing things)


Q4: Allow God to define my significance ( Just as wat pastor had shared today, let the truth sink into my heart that my identity is in God alone, not of the things/possessions/suceesses of the world. Be always reminded that i am a child of God & i belong to Him.


Lord as i walk thru this P&F with You, i pray that my prayer life will increase n become more faith-filled in the things You've revealed to me=) I pray for my trip to be one that is safe and also being able to get to noe my friends better, last but not least to enjoy n relax for hols!=)

Getting things right on track...

hello God, finally get my night shifts over for this month. haha, looking forward to my off days and AL! i can't wait for my retreat at Korea! i think work night shifts not bad at times, more time to reflect on certain things...i felt that some areas in my life got to be made right before You O God.=) not convenient to post it,but i believe You noe them...i want to see personal breakthru' in my life. i want to learn from aposte Paul (1 Cor 13:1 )"If i speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have no love, i am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. Out of the three (faith, hope and love), the greatest of these is love. Without love, a lot of things we r doing will be meaningless... i pray that i will learn treasure n be grateful to God's love and in turn i can bless ppl with His love. I had this in mind as i was brushing my teeth just now, "If i can't even love the perfect God with all my life, then wat's more to say loving the ppl- the unlovable ppl". sometimes i can get too inward-looking n fail to see e bigger picture God has intended to show me. pple needs to feel loved, n we r called to love & be loved. Help me Lord not to focus on my personal needs so much n learn to be interested in others' lives...
Gotta persevere more despite of seeing my own weaknesses, rely on God for greater strength!
today went to chill out wif my coreteam at City Space, i like the ambience of the place and e jazz music. dunno issit e pisco sour or my night shift aftereffect, my eyes were like so so tired... haha, almost fell asleep there...i miss pisco sour cos it's my fav drink in Chile, reminds me of e gd times there wif ah dan n Chilean friends. hope to go Chile again if there's an opportunity to go there relax n have fun! God i pray for tis month i will end it well and be able to bring my loved ones for x'mas service=) " i planted the seed, Apollo watered it but God made it grow". Amen! For i am assured God is still doing a spiritual revival in my family, kp on praying n miracle will happen i believe!

babies of the world unite...

Babies are such precious gifts from God...They can really make ur day, disclaimer: not the naughty cry babies. they will drive u nuts...haha. even their sneeze, frown or even yawning r so adorable!!! haha.Time to pen down my blessings for today:

1) Had a great time makan-ing mac b/f wif ah meng & she treated me though there wasn't discount after 9am

2) P&W before going for work

3) Learnt something from my work today

4) my fren offered to lend me $ for studies, felt very touched..

5) Got food(curry puff) to eat after i reached hm

I'm really looking fwd to my overseas trip in dec before i start chiong-ing for studies next yr, jiayou!!!

My heart sings out to God

Today is a more relaxed day for my work, really hope everyday can be like today...Want to pen down my blessings:
1) Got enuf rest before my work began
2) mummy very supportive & accompanied me to enquire about bank loan
3) Got ferrero roche n nacho chips to eat
4) My fren "saved" my hp by rebooting my hp
5) Had fellowship with San, JM and Abi & we had desserts while sharing our lives
6) my gd fren (study kaki) got into e same uni course as me
7) encouraged by God and motivated to focus on ministry
8) excited to finish my work n look fwd to my AL!
9) managed to chat wif ah dan jiejie online
10) tml no need wake up early!
Thank You God for speaking to my heart and letting me to major on e major things in my life. As i'm abt to embark into a stressful yr of 2012, bless me so that i can be a testimony of Your grace and goodness in mey life. I want to yield to You & i shall not be in want. I pray that You will help me to rem the verse in Pro 16: 9 " In his heart a man plans his course, but the Lord determines his steps."
